Silje grew up in the Norwegian Woods listening to LP's of Harry Belafonte, Miles Davies & Swan Lake. For lack of choice, she broke her first piggy-bank when she was six, bought some equipment and started recording pop songs off the radio. After finishing a MA in Composition, she became a finalist in the BBC New Songwriters Academy competition, and started working as a songwriter.
With her knack for catchy pop and lyrical concepts, she has worked with producers/songwriters such as Simen Eriksrud & Espen Berg (SEEB, Kiesza, Donkeyboy), Jesper Borgen, Chris Sernel (Cee Lo, Jason Derulo, Zendaya), Juan Ayala (Christian Castro), Steve Collom (The Big Bang Theory) and Allan Rich (Whitney Houston, Luther Wandross).
Some of the artists she has written with is Iselin Solheim, OMVR, Julie Bergan, Venior, Erlend Bratland, Lise Karlsnes, Elouiz, Stine Hole Ulla, Lwam, Carina Dahl and Ovi.
Silje signed with Warner Chappell as a songwriter in 2013, and continued with them until recently.
